An Audience with Prof. Joann Fletcher and Dr. Stephen Buckley streamed across the globe
Due to popular demand, a special event with top Egyptologists, Professor Joann Fletcher and Dr. Stephen Buckley, will be live-streamed from Barnsley Six Form College on Thursday, 16 March.
Taking place as part of Barnsley Museums’ Tut 22 events programme, Joann and Stephen will chat to Digital Journalist of the Year, Graham Walker, about their long careers in Egyptology.
They will offer insights into their research studying Tutankhamun’s dynasty, and how science - combined with the latest digital technology - has helped resurrect life in Ancient Egypt in a truly remarkable way. There will be lots of interesting stories along the way as well as a live Q & A session, where people can ask anything about the subject.
Tickets for the event are in high demand, and to allow more people to experience this unique and fascinating ‘Audience with’, Barnsley Museums are live streaming the event, so people can watch it around the globe.
There is a charge of £5 to Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust to view the event. To donate the £5, please text 22TUT 5 to 70085. A link to the event, which is taking place on Thursday, 16 March at 6.30 pm, will be sent directly to your phone on March 15th.
Cllr Robert Frost, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “Tut 22: The life of Tutankhamun has been an incredibly popular exhibition, attracting visitors from across the country and even as far afield as Egypt itself . We are delighted to have hosted an exhibition of such outstanding quality and to have once again worked alongside the brilliant Joann Fletcher.
